10th Sept. - 17th Sept. 2005

As you will probably be aware by now, both Caroline and myself had decided to retire from glamour photography to concentrate our efforts into our new on-line sex toys business. We thought it might be nice to organise a farewell glamour holiday trip for all our good friends that we'd made over the years...

 ...So we put together... Dordogne05

This was a completely new glamour photography holiday, located in the Dordogne region of South West France, and took place in September. It was based at Lavaud, an exquisite, recently renovated farmhouse in rural France. It promised loads of quality glamour photography opportunities, both around the farm complex and in the surrounding Dordogne/Bordeaux area of France.
We organised things in our usual relaxed and informal style, but with a basic format planned to keep us on track with the programme. After breakfast, a morning group session with practical demonstrations, chat and advice followed by group shooting on a two/three photographers to a model ratio. Then break for a relaxed lunch, with individual private sessions/group location shoots etc. in the afternoons.

As always, the models were high quality professional girls who travelled out with us from the UK. You can see lots of Elise and Jamie in the gallery. The base location was much more private than we have been used to in the past, so this allowed us flexibility to do lots more nude work. The weather was a little unkind, especially in the first couple of days, but we were able to continue shooting with studio flash equipment. The accommodation had a beautiful interior and large spaces where we could work comfortably without tripping over each other.

The whole group stayed in the fabulous farmhouse complex, which had lots of modern facilities including a large gym and an attractrive swimming pool. As usual the whole group went out most evenings, to a wide variety of local restaurants, sampling the local specialities Foie Gras, Duck and even Truffles! We also tried an evening Bar-B-Que, where the more domesticated photographers had a chance to show off their cullinary expertise..! Each night there was a customary "silly game" for the night owls to play.. Jenga was played very competitively, but twister and dressing up games were taken much less seriously!

During the week we were able to make use of the idylic surroundings and several excursions, including two nearby French Chateaus, where we were able to take advantage of some stunning backdrops and props. You can see some more of my demonstration shots, done during the tutorial sessions in the galleries.
